While the Miller family continues to grieve, late artist Miller’s brother McCormick talks about Machine Gun Kelly’s upcoming film Good News, Miller’s first posthumous single. Directed and written by Tim Sutton, the film reports that MGK stars as a fighting musician based on the lives of late rappers Pop Smoke, Lil Peep, Mac Miller, and Juice WRLD, among others.

On Wednesday (June 30), McCormick attacked MGK and the filmmakers on one of his Instagram stories and asked them to at least change the title: “To hell with the film, at least change the title.” July 8 in Los Angeles. Jib Polhemus will co-produce with Rivulet Media Film President Rob Paris and Chief Operating Officer Mike Wieder.

“Colson Baker [Machine Gun Kelly] is a rare talent who grew up very quickly in both film and music,” Paris told MGK. “He’s exactly the artist Rivulet Media wanted to work with, and we couldn’t support him on both sides, especially with Tim Sutton’s strong script and vision that resonated with Colson’s great skills.”

MGK’s resume continues to grow. In 2019 he played Tommy Lee in Netflix’s “Dirt” and had roles in two of the recently released 10 Most Viewed Films of All Time – Project Power with Jamie Foxx, CHIKA, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Bird Box with Sandra Bullock. Additionally, projects include “The Last Son,” starring Sam Worthington and starring in Andrew Baird’s action thriller “Once Upon a Time,” starring Kevin Bacon.

Machine Gun Kelly released tickets for My Downfall in 2020, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 and won multiple awards at the MTV VMA, Billboard Music Awards, and iHeart Radio Music Awards. If the Mac Miller brothers were involved, Sutton would rename the project in honor of the Miller family.
