- Gucci Mane will be releasing their new album Ice Daddy on Friday, 18 June.
- This comes with a surprising collaboration between Hip Hop OG Sir Mix-A-Lot and burgeoning (but currently closed) rap superstar Pooh Shiesty.
The music has been tried dozens of times over three long periods – from Mexican Broadway by South Park and Reppin North Memphis by Yo Gotti to Big Ballin With My Homies at E-40 and Nicki Minaj’s platinum hit “Anaconda.”
But for Sir Mix-A-Lot not getting antiques by any means, “Posse On Bouldercrest” is just a modern example and an opportunity for the MC who grew up in Seattle to see a Gucci Mane painting.
“It’s a tremendous factor,” Sir Mix-A-Lot told HipHopDX. “Gucci Manet is a great artist and a better and better entrepreneur. He does what he has achieved indie and through partnerships with specialties, while naturally, he is strong and a young artist needs to take note. I admire this Broth. Other than that, Mike Will did it!!”
Swiss was initially released on NastyMix and re-released the rap on Rick Rubin’s Def American Recordings label. The album was finally certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association concerning America (RIAA) and helped his Mack Daddy 0.33 album enter the Billboard Two Top 100 upon its release in 1992. (From the Top 100 direction, unmarried “Baby is back” as well. painless.)
Gucci Mane has now sold thousands of albums with 18 studio works, starting with Trap House in 2005.
Ice Daddy has 17 songs and features from 2 Chainz, E-40, Young Dolph, Lil Baby, Lil Uzi Vert, Project Pat, and more. Check out the New Music Fridays HipHopDX summary.
